Summer is in full swing here in Central Texas, and while we love the sunshine, pool days, and patio brunches, let’s be real—humidity and heat can be tough on lash extensions and brow treatments if you’re not prepared.

How to Protect Your Lash Extensions in the Texas Heat
1. Avoid direct steam and prolonged sweat
Steam from hot showers, saunas, facials, or even yoga sessions can weaken the lash glue. Cleanse and brush your lashes with a spoolie to keep them fluffy.
2. Keep oil-based products away
Your summer sunscreen, moisturizers, or makeup removers might contain oils that break down lash adhesive. Be sure to use oil-free skincare around the eyes, and double-check your SPF label.
3. Always use a lash-safe cleanser
Cleansing your lashes daily is essential—especially when sunscreen, sweat, and pollen are part of the mix. I carry complimentary gentle, extension-safe lash cleanser in the studio. Ask me about it at your next appointment!
4. Sleep smart
The way sleep can be the biggest contributor to lash fall out. Try sleeping on your back to avoid smashing your lashes into the pillow. A silk pillowcase helps reduce friction if you’re a side sleeper (and bonus: it’s great for your skin and hair, too!).
